Lighting Musta Struck Twice

Because we were blessed to have family from Hawaii visit us TWICE this year!  In addition to Shellie and Peyton, NanaMo and Claude also took the long trek up to hang out with us for a little over a week for some fun Fall adventures.

Although Shellie and Peyton (along with Uncle Paul and Aunty Joy) visited us back in May, it's amazing how much things have changed with the two girls in so many ways- physically, emotionally, and socially.  It's incredible to witness on a day to day basis and it's taken moments like these to realize how very blessed we are to be a part of a miracle every day.

Peyton and Ava finally have real, bonafide HAIR!! Not a few out of place, freakishly long wispy baby hair, but thick, dark, ponytail potential hair.  Maybe a thick, luscious french braid is in the near future for the girls next time ..haha!  And in addition to the hair, the two have obviously grown.  Peyton and Ava look proportionately the same in height from last time, but this time, Peyton was opening and closing doors (she can reach the knob!) and place her sippy cup on the tabletop.  Ava could skim her fingers on the edge of surfaces and get all sorts of fun stuff like Daddy's glasses and Mommy's phone!

Besides the physical, the most noticeable and fun change since the last time was their growth socially.  I thought Peyton talked a lot back in May, but boy was I wrong.  This little lady is a constant chatterbox!  I had a smile on my face every morning when I could hear Peyton ask Shellie, "Where's Ava Mo?".  Not Ava, but specifically Ava Mo.  And what was especially endearing was the adorable sound of her voice. Oh how I love the soft, smooshy, baby-like voice of toddlers *sigh*.

The other huge, notable change since May was the interaction between Ava and Peyton.  And I stress the word 'Ava' in the last statement.  More on this in my next blog...

We did all sorts of fun Fall related activities that I can hardly count; refer to the previous blog and let the pictures do the talking.

We miss you, Peyton, and can't wait to see you soon.  Ava Mo especially misses her "ten" and smiles and points at your picture every day.  Oregon adventures was fun, but Hawaii 2011 will be better!
