Busy Bees

The past few months have been unbelievably busy for us and I haven't had the opportunity to sit down and write at the computer until last Thursday! I'm completely behind in all the fun stories, pictures, and updates but I'm determined to catch up. 

For starters, my laptop crashed right the week before Thanksgiving and it wasn't up and running until last Monday.  Until this happened, I didn't really realize how dependant I was on the Internet.  I've been out of touch with friends, behind on emails, and had an embarrassingly difficult time finding phone numbers and store hours for Holiday shopping (who really owns the White Pages these days!).

We've also either had non-stop visitors or have been out-of-town; from Kent's family visiting back in October, we've had Grandpa visit, went to California/Las Vegas, drove to Seattle for Lori and Trevor's engagement party, then took a road trip back here to Portland and hung out with my mom, sister, and Ava.  My mom left for Chicago on Thursday morning, so it's pretty much catching up with life since then.  Kent, Ava and I haven't had a weekend alone together as a family for months, so we had a wonderful lazy weekend watching Christmas movies on TV, sleeping in and cleaning.

So today is Monday, the brand new start to the week, and I'm laser focused on getting caught up with everything. The Fall whizzed past us in a blink of an eye and I can't believe it's almost Christmas!  Ava totally understands what's happening around her and it is SO.MUCH.FUN!! More on that later...for now, gotta start uploading pictures!
