Baby Laughs and Some Big Girl Drinking

Since the previous post of Ava TRYING to laugh was when she was eight weeks old, I've been on a mission to capture her REAL laughs on video. Apparently, Ava has some pretty ticklish feet and loves to laugh while getting her foot rubbed. Here she is at 18 weeks giggling to her hearts content.

Additionally, we recently introduced a cup with a straw to Ava. She did an excellent job drinking from it and hopefully we can bypass the bottle and sippy cup completely. Sippy cups are apparently not a natural way for children to drink liquids since it incorrectly teaches them to tilt the cup all the way back, possibly instilling bad cup drinking habits early on. Hopefully, she'll keep it up and we can wean her off the breast in a little bit...keep your fingers crossed!

OMG, the videos are wonderful! They brought tears to my eyes -- Ava's laugh is so contagious, I absolutely love this! And, my little Ava already drinks from a cup?! I am amazed that she was able to use her hands to hold the cup and redirect the straw back into her mouth! Lia & Kent, get ready, Ava does everything early -- don't be surprised that she starts walking at 7 or 8 months! And bust out that "learn to read" video, too, she is picking things up so quickly, she'll be reading in no time! ... Now I'm feeling a little sad because I feel like I'm missing out ... Give Ava Mo a bumbucha hug and kiss from her NanaMo.
