Month O Fun
Besides our trip back to Hawaii, this month has been busy with lots of fun summer activities. Ava experienced her first Fourth of July complete with all the noisy, fun fireworks (thanks for the awesome aerials guys...); picked strawberries and blueberries at a local farm near our house to decorate the Fourth of July cake; and spent some quality time with Grandpa who visited for a week. She even did great on the restaurant on the river we ate brunch on, although Kent and I felt a little queasy from the rocking...!
The Fourth of July in particular was a special time for us since it was this time exactly a year ago that we announced (to our friends, at least) that we were expecting. I went back in the blog and read my post from last year's Fourth of July and can remember the anticipation and excitement of sharing experiences like this with our 'babymo'. Well, babymo/AvaMo is here and it's been more wonderful than we ever thought. Knowing our friends and the all out firework show they like to put on, we got Ava some baby/kid's earmuffs that block loud noises and sounds. It worked like a charm and she even slept through the noisy finale. I highly recommend it for anyone planning to be around any loud noises. Kent's excited to use them this Fall for the Beaver football games, so we're glad they're nice and comfy and that Ava liked them so much!

Fond memories...it was such a pretty day to walk the river path. We'll have to do it again before summer ends!! I remember Ava as being quiet and taking it all in...she loves to experience new and exciting places. A full belly and new visual and tactile exposure and she is really content. What a GOOD baby!!Grandpa loves Ava!!
