Happy Thursday!

There are dishes in the sink, toys strewn everywhere, lots of laundry to do, and dinner still to cook, but I.AM.SO.HAPPY.

I woke up to a smiling, happy baby this morning and we've just had so much fun hanging out together today. We watched the Disney channel, played in the exersaucer, and went to an afternoon playdate. We laughed a lot today and Ava was just so smiley and happy. It is precious days like these that I feel so lucky and grateful to stay home; even on days when it doesn't go so great either! Thank you Kent for working hard so I can be at home with Ava. I know I don't tell you often enough, but I really do appreciate it and enjoy it so much. It's hard work, but for the first time, I really feel like this is what I'm supposed to be doing. Ava and I are both very lucky to have such a fabulous man in our life.

Someone once told me that women have two chances at the mother-child relationship in life. The first chance, you are a child and have no control over the relationship. The second chance, you are the mother and have the opportunity to create a wonderful experience for yourself and your child. I am so grateful for the honor of this opportunity and intend to embrace it wholeheartedly and "make it count".
