Happy Birthday...sort of

Kent cracks me up sometimes where I just can't stop laughing. I had one of those moments last night when he came home with a surprise for me.

I've been slightly irritable lately (which is probably a major understatement, if you ask Kent) because Aunt Flo decided to pay her first official visit. And by official, I mean a regular staycation where she's here for the long haul; last time when Ava was just six months old was just a little pop in visit. This is the real deal people.

So, as you may understand, I've been a complete hormonal mess (think: teenage girl drama) and just staring down Kent repeatedly saying 'just don't...just don't' before he says or does anything. To make the long story short, he told me to relax last night and have some time to myself while he and Ava went somewhere. Nonetheless, after my hot, relaxing shower, I came downstairs to this waiting for me:

A special dessert (my FAVORITE - Baskin and Robbins Mint Choco Chip Ice Cream Cake!) with a special message. Kent wanted the girl to write 'welcome back' instead of 'happy birthday, but figured that Happy Birthday was more appropriate since he calls the visit a re-birth. HA!

*sigh* this is why I married the man. I love you Kent.
