I Lied...
I'm not going to post pictures today, but rather sometime this weekend. PROMISE-CROSS-MY-HEART-HOPE-TO-DIE-POKE-A-NEEDLE-IN-MY-EYE! After an eventful day of lunch with a friend and a day at the park with Ava, I've been spending my afternoon (during Ava's nap...can you hear the angels singing...) at my "other job". Let me explain.
With limited free time and minimal time to access the Internet, I've been OBSESSED with coupon clipping and deal scouring when I have the chance. Seriously. I'm a crazy coupon clipping, deal hunting maniac! One lazy Sunday, I had all the ads in front of me and I had a psycho John Nash ala "Beautiful Mind" moment where all the numbers and ads swirled around me and I "saw it". Okay, not really. I didn't see any floating numbers or go totally insane, but I did see an enormous amount of deals savings that couldn't be passed up. With the power of the Internet AND the coupons I get in the mail....well, there you have, I've been in coupon hunting heaven.
It's been so much fun and so addicting, which is why I've been spending the time I do have, constructively. Allow me to indulge: I got a Mr. Potato Head for Ava's Christmas present for 50 cents after a price match and two coupons. Original price $9.99. Another toy that was $25 regular price for 49 cents, again after a price match and 2 coupons. A free Columbia beanie. And the best deal of all...I was able to get our Christmas Photo Cards for free including shipping! This, of course means I spent ZERO dollars for our beautiful Holiday cards. Not too shabby, huh?
Besides the savings, it's more about the fun of getting things for a deal. I get giddy like a schoolgirl and literally skip out of the store when I find these deals! I'm liking that I can still use of the 'ol noggin to save a few bucks for our family and have so much fun doing it! Here are some deals I wanted to pass along to you, friends and family, in case you were interested.
Target - go to their website, scroll down and click on the 'grocery coupon' link to print in store coupons. This gets updated every week or so so check back often. I recently printed off a coupon for $1.50 off GE lightbulbs and used it to buy a 2 pack of lightbulbs for $1.49...so free after coupon! Another coupon I liked is the $1.00 off 12 pack of soda (for when we have guests) during their sale right now. With the coupon and sale, you get a 12 pack of Pepsi for $2. yay!
SeeHere.com - go to http://www.seehere.com/, create and order 50 Holiday photo greeting cards (5x7 or 4x8) and type in 'newbaby' as the coupon code at the checkout for free photo greeting cards. I was able to get them completely free, but because of the overwhelming response from people, they are just charging a shipping fee of $3.20 or something. Still not a bad deal for photo greeting cards with envelopes!
Amazon.com - you can get the McAfee Total Protection 3User 2010 for FREE after mail-in-rebate, expiring today! order this product from amazon and not a third party seller, fill out the mail in rebate, and get back a prepaid Visa for the amount of the product. Depending on if you have super saver shipping, you may have to pay for shipping. But still not a bad deal! EXPIRES TODAY, 12/4/09!

Walgreens - depending on your walgreens, you can get an organic 'Yes to Carrots' lip gloss for free. It's on sale right now for 99 cents (usually $3) and depending on the store, ask the cosmetic counter lady for a 'Yes to Carrots' $1 off coupon. It's an unadvertised sale, so you have to ask for the coupon in order to get the deal.
Fred Meyers - they have a sale on toys right now and on a particular one I wanted to buy for my friend's son for Christmas, Hasbro's Muscial Sit and Spin toy (normally $25 at Toys R Us). With the sale, add the $10 off manufacturer's coupon http://print.coupons.com/couponweb/Offers.aspx?pid=14988&zid=pf12&nid=20
and the 15% toy coupon in the paper (get an extra one at the front door if you don't have one) and get the toy for $5!
I better stop while I'm ahead since I can keep going for days, baby. Hope this post was helpful and most of all enjoyable. Sorry for going off tangent. I promise to get back on track this weekend! Have a great weekend!
