Diaper Free

This child of ours has such spunk and personality - at just eighteen months - that I'm convinced we have a little middle-aged Toddler on our hands.  She sighs when she bends down to pick something off the ground, she swears (a little...hehee) when she drops something or makes a mistake, and loves to cross her legs when she eats.  And, she is also almost fully potty trained as of four weeks ago.

We started training sporadically from when she was an infant, but really took to committing to it just a few months ago.  She took to it very quickly and we've graduated from diapers and moved on to the Big Girl Pants - Hot Pink Pull Ups.

We had a short potty training setback last weekend when Ava didn't signal to us when she needed to go, but come Monday, she was back to her normal routine.  Having a baby has definitely taught both Kent and I to try and let go of any sterotypes, milestones or expectations and just go with the flow.  When we started training, Ava started to show interest in it and we just went with it.  Even with setbacks, we'll just let her take her time and figure things out.

Here's our little Big Girl in all her glory *sigh*:
